Flitterrats are a flying rat like creature. They are quite common in many dimentions, spreading quickly whenever people move from one dimention to another. There are many species of them, both because they filled all bird-type niches in the dimention they origonaly came from, and because many have naturaly evolved after their ansestors came to the dimention they now call home.
Common species:
The Brown Flitterrat.
Common in almost every dimention man has colonised, the brown flitterrat is a common pest, eating garbage and crops, and getting into rooves and even infesting dragon caves. Some breeds of dragon dont mind eating them, and most youngsters love to try and catch them, but even with predatition, then breed so fast it hardly makes a diffrence.
Black Flitterrat
Slightly less common than the Brown Flitterrat, the black flitterrat is a carrion and dung eater, so is more welcomed than its cousin. They dislike dragon dung, but relish in other livestock, particuarly those of Terran origon. They breed much slower than Browns, but due to not being the target of eradication, fast breeding is not a nessesity.
Royal Blue Flitterrat
This predatory Flitterrat preys on other flitterrats, making it a welcomed sight. They eat mostly Brown flitterrats, but if they are hungry would go for almost any smaller flitterrat species too. When they stand on the ground, they have a noticalby diffrent body structure than their fellow flitterrats, being bipedal rather than quadrapedal. They can be tamed and used in pest control.
Swarm Flitterrats
These tiny Flitterrats eat insects, carrion, seeds, berries and anything else they can get their claws into. Due to their small size, they live and fly in large flocks, or swarms, for protection. If they manage to get near crops, they can decimate the seasons harvest, but most will stay well clear, because they dislike th dragon dung spread onto the fields.
